TIMES OF PLENTY

I TEMPI DELLE VACCHE GRASSE -

CORREVA L'ANNO 1984...

COMING SOON

"Times of Plenty" is the first episode of a series of animated short films set in Italy in the 80s, Italy at the time of the socialist party and young rampant managers.

The life of a boy named Cesare, who lives in Rome with his parents, is revealed through comic-dramatic situations thanks to which Italy of that time is told.

Cesare, as his parents and relatives, are all overweight, except for his cousin Roberta whom he is secretly in love with.

The title, contrary to what one might think, is not referred to plenty as the abundance of weight of the family, but to the socio-cultural climate of the 80s and 90s, the years of the television system reform, of the new agreement with the Holy See, the years in which Italy came to be the fifth industrial country in the world, but also at the dawn of a whirling growth in public spending, that is, a situation that many already knew would not last long.
